Here's a story of a girl

She cried a river and drowned the whole world. Ok, so maybe I didn't cry the whole world, but I did cry today as my sister returned to Chi-town after coming in for the weekend for my shower. ( I didn't take any pictures, but I know other people did, so I myself and hoping to see some pictures soon). It was a great shower, Rockle and J did a great job planning it. I am very thankful for all the generosity that my family and friends showed to Penguin and I. Now, we are down to the wire....a little over a month left. I am rededicating myself to weight watchers for the final haul...and again going to try to get back to working out. J had me do an awesome workout tape, and I am hoping to order it this weekend...my legs are still sore from it. I am actually really glad that my legs hurt, even though I couldn't keep up with the video, I didn't let myself skimp out either. But I also know that the pain will go away, and so I must get back to using it. I also have to continue to plan out the next couple of weeks, because as you know Penguin and I are moving, so now I must also plan packing into our already hectic schedule as well as the final meetings with the florist and photographer. Oh yeah, and we also have to have our cake testing...mmm cake.... Well, that is it for now. I am back at work and reality. It was great not having to work for a while, but now it is off to the hustle and bustle. Here's to a wonderful week!

Cheers!

Well hello there..

Hello all...just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know that I am alive...somehow...let's see today is currently Wed...so I worked 8pm yesterday, went to a class from 8-11 this morning and am currently working right now. I have to make it 8 more hours (sheesh that many already) and then I get to sleep again until I get to go to work for 12 more hours...Yes, I really am that crazy..I am trying to get all of our ducks in a row between trying to get the wedding paid off and getting on top of all of our bills. So anyway, I digress...after those 12 hours, I will have time to come home and shower, possibly do a little cleaning before I have to come to the muhl to go to education day. After that my sister and her wee one will be in from the great midwest. Friday night is a night of much needed pampering. I apparently won a contest with David's Bridal and MaryKay and we are having a girls' night of make overs and laughter. Finally, I will get to sleep a little bit and then get ready to get up early and do some more cleaning in time for guests to show up for a partay in my honor. Sunday is our family reunion, and sometime in there I want to start working on packing. It seems like I will be just as busy on my days off as I am when I am working...

Moving on up...to the east side...

So, I guess after talking with my sister, Penguin finally was on board with looking at apartments. Originally we wanted a house, who doesn't, but not many people are willing to rent out their homes to someone with a dog, let alone 2 dogs. So...since I got put on call Sunday night, bright and early Monday we went apartment shopping. We actually went for a drive Sunday night and looked at the areas and rated the apartments based on what we could see from the outside, and then today we actually got to see the insides of them. So, after looking at like 5 complexes that we knew took dogs, we settled on one. The best part is, it is 2 blocks from where I work, close to 22 for when Penguin has to go to work, has a pool, takes both our dogs, and they were able to work some deals to make it impossible for us to say no:) We did however not jump as soon as we looked at it, we did want to make an educated decision and see all of our options first. Because I work for Lehigh Valley Hospital, we received a 10% discount on our rent, and then because apparently I am "a sweet polite young lady" the leasing agent took half the rent off of the dogs (IE we pay for one instead of 2) and then took half off the application fee (IE we paid for one applicatant and not 2). To top that off, we get to move in mid July which is exactly when we were looking to move, and while we are definitely living within our means...yes, we did learn a lot living in AZ, rent and utilities can be paid solely by Penguin's paychecks, we can continue to use mine to cover our bills and possibly start saving. So, that is the story morning glory. The apartment complex also has lots of room to walk the dogs, and is surrounded by a development for when I feel comfortable enough to try a new place to walk the dogs. So...here, take a look at our new home sweet home...when there, click on one bedroom floor plans, then scroll down to east model. We will be living on the east side...

Going to the chapel..

Well...today we did it. Today we went to the Northampton County Courthouse and we applied for our marriage license. It isn't good until June 23rd, but then we have 60 days to get married before it expires. I guess that is good considering we get married in what 6 weeks from tomorrow. Anyway, now just a few more payments and then it is wedding time!!

June 13th

So, with less than 2 months until I change my last name, I just wanted to let you know kinda how my calendar looks. Ok, so first things first... just about every week from now until the wedding I am working 5 days a week. Yep that is right, I said 5 days a week. It is either 3 12s and 2 8s or 4 12s and 1 8 or some variety of the situation. The end of June, the 27th to be exact is my wedding shower. Sometime after July 8th, Penguin and I will be going for our marriage license. Saturday July 11th is our cake tasting and hopefully decision process. July 14th is my final meeting with the florist, and sometime in there will also be the final meeting with the photographer. (I only say sometime bc that is on my to do list for today). Really, I am not nervous yet...I just have to finish paying on the things that owe money, decide on a favor, and start purchasing the stuff for my center pieces. Really, I don't think that is too bad. Oh, I also need an aisle runner and a garter...hmpf. Well that is it for now. Have a great Saturday!

59 days...

So the countdown continues...until the I Do's are exchanged. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been busy working...if I am not at one job working 12 hours, I am at the other job working 8. All the while trying to finish this class for my masters, and balance that with time with the beau. Anyway, not much really is going on. My shower is coming up, so look forward to pictures from that. Otherwise, just wanted to check in so that everyone knows I am still alive.

WW

So, here I am 3 months into ww and I am down 28 pounds since I started, and 8 pounds down from last week. So, now that I am starting nights again, and for some reason can work out better on nights than days, I have 67 days to lose some more weight so that I can start my married life at my healthiest weight to date. I am so excited to think about it!! Keep up all of your great work! Happy weight loss!

June 1st 2009

So, my wedding is exactly 67 days a way, and I can say that I can relax again. I resolved the problem with the reception hall, yep I had to do it, not them. I will have to ask my aunts to help set up the reception hall, which isn't ideal, but I am not losing any reception time, just set up time. So...no need to send out change of venue cards, the reception will still start at the planned time. So, what did I get for my troubles, my linens for free. So that saves me at least $300. My budget is so not blown and maybe the rest of the planning will be with little stress. Well...I better get going, I start nights tonight. Have a great night.
