A work in progress
I have read a lot of blogs and running books that recommend you have a spot in your home for your inspiration wall. That idea sounded great, and since I live in an apartment and space is limited, I thought I would put my inspiration wall on a move able surface (so that it can come with me when we move) above my desk so that I can see it everyday. Here is the wall directly in front of my desk...
See how boring...I went to Wegman's to get Kale for Kale chips(a blog for another day, and I saw that this was only 12 cents! So, I bought it!
Finally, I got all of my old magazines out...
And began to go through them and cut out things that inspire me...
And then started gluing the cutouts to the poster board. Yes, I know I have lots of blank space, but my goal is to have this filled up by my half marathon in April, so I have a lot of room to add lots of inspiration to it.
So far, the quote "I used to run with DOUBT" is my favorite. I can't wait to see how this piece of work turns out. One of the people that I used to work with emailed me and told me about how I inspire her and how she would love to run with me sometime. I never thought that I would inspire anyone, this was just a journey that I was doing for me...to make be a healthier person, and here I am inspiring others. Anyway, that run is slated for Thursday, I will let you know how that goes.
AND...
because I know you come here to see pics of my daughter...please don't let me keep you from seeing her...
I told her we needed to clean up, she grabbed her hat, had me put it on then went to the front door. I guess she knows that when we clean up we end up leaving the house!
HAPPY HUMPDAY!

It's all happening...
Yeah, I admit it. I have not been blogging like I used to. Hopefully, this will be the start of something new. Things have been crazy busy around the igloo, and I hope to be able to share some of that with you soon. I believe I will be relying on this blog more in the coming days, but again, this is my outlet right?!? Anyway, the latest in the igloo is that I am working a lot. Not a lot a lot, but enough that I am trying to put some money away and not need it. That is always the catch. I am currently able to put money in savings, then something comes up and I need to borrow from it. I wish either I could go without eating (just kidding) or that groceries would be cheaper (so not kidding here). Anyway, besides that Penguin and I are getting ready to move next week, we actually pick up the keys this Saturday and to say that we haven't started packing is an understatement. We.have.not.packed.a.thing. No, scratch that, I have packed the linen closest because apparently to me, that is a must do. So between work and sleep I need to go to my parents house and get some boxes. It won't really take a long time to pack, it's just getting started that is the problem. Once I get started I know it won't take me long. Then it's the moving and the cleaning of the current apartment and making sure that maintenance can fix the things in the current apartment so that we don't lose our security deposit. Penguin and I are hoping that this is our last move, unless of course we get a house by the end of next year. Again, just put that in the way back burner for now. Nothing else is really going on right now, just excited about moving and helping my folk's watch my nephew for a couple of days while they are in town. Life is kinda hectic right now, but I hope my readers (if there are any out there) haven't given up on me yet. I hope to make this a regular thing, even if it is just a line to let you know that I am alive. So please, bear with me and I promise, hopefully soon there will be more to read about.

Life

So...life throws you some curve balls even when you think all is planned out. It took to long for the wonderful commonwealth of PA to process my license information, so I haven't started work yet :( I will start however Nov 17th...which guarantees that I will have off for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sister Jaime had a beautiful baby boy named ----> Joseph Michael on Halloween which as my sister Rachel pointed out means that he will be a prankster. That is all well and good however, but Rachel also continued to point out that her daughter...my niece Shae
(seen below) is going to be the Joker of the family (Shae's b-day happens to be on April's Fools day). That being said, these 2 wee ones are the loves of my life. I can't wait to get to see Joey and love on him, and when I see Shae on the weekends she melts my heart....well especially when she calls my Fiancee's name or accidentally mistakes him for Pop-pop. Anyway, I am just trying to survive until I start work, but until then...I have these 2 little ones to keep me happy.
