Feeling a wee bit Irish

This past weekend in the town where we live was
Yep, Celtic Classic. This was it's 23th year, and my first time attending. Man, I had no idea what I was missing out on! It is an opportunity for celebrating Celtic heritage, and it wasn't even St Patrick's day! There were street vendors, contests and great food! It was an ideal opportunity for grown men to dress up
and embrace their culture fully...
The hubs even embraced his heritage.

Wait, I mean became completely enveloped into his culture...
Yes, that is a skirt, umm wait a kilt. I think everyone had a great time. My hubsband's step mother in law even wanted to pose with a wino...

And the hub's niece D, even had a good time.

All in all I say it was a success. We ended up going more than once (the hubs wanted another reason to wear his kilt) and we are planning on going next year. Hopefully our babes will enjoy it as much as we do!

isn't the celtic classic more scottish than irish? e.g., kilts, haggis, etc. i always thought that the irish were gaelic, not celtic. not that there's anything wrong with either one. did they have the highland games where they throw that big telephone pole thing?

The wino was the inflatable foot from barefoot wines. Rachel, The Irish are Gaelic, but they are included in the Celtic culture. And yes, they did have the caber toss. Joe wants to do that next year.
